We welcome book donations and appreciate your support. To ensure materials are useful and in good condition, please follow these guidelines:

Condition

• Books must be clean, odor-free, and in excellent condition.
• No yellowed, mildewed, water-damaged, or dusty pages.
• No mold, missing/torn jackets, or items stored long-term in basements/attics.
• If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, we cannot accept it.

Accepted Items

• Recent fiction (hardcover or paperback)
• Clean, older history and biography titles
• Popular non-fiction (cookbooks, history, crafts, hobbies, sports)
• Children’s and young adult books
• Audiobooks on CD

Not Accepted

• Travel, finance, medical, health, or diet books published before 2022
• Computer books or “Idiots/Dummies” guides published before 2022
• VHS tapes, cassette tapes, music CDs
• Magazines, encyclopedias, or multi-volume sets (e.g., Time-Life)

Blue Ridge Regional Library – Main Branch
310 E. Church St., Martinsville, VA

Please bring items during regular library hours. Donations may not be left in book drops or inside doors.
